Welcome to the journey of
Holistic Health.
I came across Holistic movement by accident.
I’ve coached and held exercise workshops in Bristol & London, between public gyms and corporate workspaces since 2014.
Over the years I’ve noticed that we’ve overcomplicated exercise and that’s created flawed metrics to categorise our physical health.
You can have an aesthetically pleasing body, or be physically fit - but it doesn’t make a difference if we’re emotionally disconnected.
This is when I began to understand how our relationship to exercise can secretly limit our emotional wellbeing.
That’s when I discovered trauma, and began to study it’s effect on the mind-body unity.
I uncovered how our Society, Wellness & Medical industry are causing rising health problems. How corporates encourage a disconnect of the self, and how we unconsciously normalise the conditions that cause trauma.
If we’re physically ill, we’re prescribed medication.
If we’re mentally unwell, we’re prescribed anti-depressants.
There is a lack of emphasis on the basics: Breathwork, Sleep, Gut health, Exercise & Social connection.
When I began to introduce these Holistic practices to my own life, I noticed how my relationships to both myself and to others improved. Exercise didn’t feel rigid & forced - movement felt natural.
I decided to become a practitioner that wants to keep learning, and to teach others how to become self sufficient so they too, improve their relationship to themselves through gentle, physical exercise.
“Learning to accept that we are
enough as we come”
There is a warming sensation when we experience self validation - ‘an interconnected self’. It offers us freedom in our minds, and the ability to see things with a new perspective.
So less conditioned normative thinking - more “I don’t mind failing, lets see what happens”.
My coaching connects the body through a combination of mindfulness techniques and playful strength movement, helping recreate the awareness we may have forgotten.
Mindful Movement can help explore bodily awareness; Making it fun to move again, and to avoid bodily discomfort as we age.
